Review of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) by Alexis K — 15 Jul 2007
I could not believe that this was directed by Scorsese! It's a drama about a woman whose awful husband dies. She takes her son on the road and they go to build a new life. The writing is witty, Ellen Burstyn's acting and relationship with the son are poignant and touching and then there's Kris Kristofferson.
He may be old, but damn, that man is sexy! Also stars a very young Jody Foster and a strangely cleancut Harvey Keitel.
