"Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" shows what a master Martin Scorsese is at making movies. Known mainly for his mainstream gangster pictures, "Alice..." is a quiet and subtle film that focuses on the characters, their heartache and goals.
Ellen Burstyn is great as is the supporting cast which includes Harvey Keitel, Diane Ladd and Kris Kristofferson.
