Review of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (1974) by Aaron K — 24 Mar 2010
Absorbing character study that has held up very well. Fabulous performances all around, every actor creating a memorable character. Intelligently written and directed. Riveting from the start and has some powerful dramatic and sometimes frightening moments.
Often funny. Well-paced. Beautiful cinematography that really captures the Southwestern US. All involved do a great job of making this so real and gritty. They don't make them like this anymore.
