Filled with strong scenes, characters and cinematic elements, the film isn't like its brackets-- Mean Streets and Taxi Driver-- but is rather the cool relief needed between the two. Considering the success of Mean Streets and Taxi Driver, it's overlooked, but unfortunately so.
