Alien was made in 1979 by the director of Blade Runner (Ridley Scott) which happened to come out in 1982, only a few years after Alien was released. I never saw Alien in cinemas which is disappointing but I wasn't even born when the film was initially released.
When I saw it as a kid I thought it was okay but I was really too young to care at that age. I'm now 38 years old and seen it too many times but what Alien brings is suspense and Terror beyond belief.
Ridley Scott's film is a sci fi horror classic with great acting and disturbing scenes and fairly dark. I liked Alien because it's scary and pretty effective without too much gore. A classic.
