Based on the man not the myth. The movie gives you pause to think not just expect a mindless pound of flesh. It reflects on the turbulance of the time and it is reflected in the man. The choice between Religion and Country, the inner conflict of his choices.
The meticulous nature that underlay his fights expressed in the way he controlled his speech to reveal nothing but what he wanted others to see. The sports clips that have circulated for years betray the fact that above all Muhammad Ali was a very intense peronality beyond the personality in the ring.
