In my opinion, this film contains some great acting from an otherwise not great actor, Will Smith. But what started out as a strong movie quickly became very weak and rushed. Two hours is not enough time to capture Muhammad Ali's full biography, which is what it feels this movie was attempting to do.
A few important aspects, yes. But otherwise this movie should have been closer to three hours, like Malcolm X. Also, maybe more character development and establishment would have been included in this movie if not for the too-long, too-often fight scenes.
