Review of Ali (2012) by Mohammed H — 15 Nov 2010
While Ali drags in many parts and is muddled by its other side stories, Michael Mann suceeds in his boxing scenes and the knockout performance from Will Smith. It does drag along too much with personal life, side characters and setup towards fights.
However I found myself anticipating the final fight a lot and the boxing scenes were good scenes. Also note that Jamie Foxx and Jon Voight are great in this movie. This is a biography and its not that action packed at all, but when Will Smith says his speeches, he really is Muhammed Ali.
Thumbs up!
