Review of Ali (2001) by Al M — 03 Apr 2008
Sure you can see alot of Will Smith in his depiction of Ali, but watch any old interview with Ali and had the same cocky swagger as Smith does today, so it fits. But what really struck me about this movie was Foxx's performance.
He really shines in this one. Until this point, we were still used to the Booty Call Jamie Foxx. Everything about this movie is great, especially how there were so many larger than life characters (Ali, Malcom X, Cossell) but none of them got lost.
