Review of Alfie (2004) by Anne F — 23 May 2011
I am very surprised to have enjoyed this remake, but found Jude Law's Alfie very watchable. Alfie is again a womaniser, a cad who flits from woman to woman whilst describing his feelings to the camera.
Eventually his deeds catch up with him and he has to consider the effects of his actions on those around him, and on his own life. Jude Law is eye candy, the music was great, but I felt that the film itself worked as a modern reworking of the original story.
