Review of Alexander (2004) by Jeremiah P — 11 May 2010
"Alexander" does everything in its once-great cinematic power to stab, beat, and conquer everything interesting and enjoyable about a historically fictional movie. Not only were facts stepped on and around, but characters were portrayed as male fashion models, something that can often be excused in Hollywood.
.. Up to a point (this point should stop at the 2006 film, "300," where the soldiers are at least semi-convincing warriors without eye-enhancing contact lenses and makeup galore.).
