Review of Alexander (1996) by Miguel P — 23 Sep 2009
What strange misguided film, this bio epic could have been remarkable but it fails in so many things. I saw the final cut version that is longer then the theratical version. I have heard he tried to hide some aspects of homosexuality.
Why? We live in a time where it's not a big deal. Alexander and Hepsation does big hugs and pentrating stares thats it. This was part of greek culture why cover it up. You can tell in the final cut versions he added those scenes.
The acting is good Colin Farrell gives it his all, but he did not convince me as Alexander. The main problem with Alexander is that if he was such a great man why does this movie doesn't make us care about him.
