Review of Alexander (1996) by Ian C — 03 Jun 2010
This rambling 3 hr plus epic is way too long. Although the story and the man himself is indeed awe inspiring, the movie fails to draw everything into a coherent whole, lacking in focus even if the cinematography was at times sweeping and dramatic.
The producers gave Stone too much free reign and this simply became more of an artistic production than the gripping historical action movie it should've been.
