Review of Alexander (1996) by Kyle S — 12 Dec 2010
I am officially one of about 5 people on Earth that liked this movie. I thought it had it's problems, but I also thought that it was filmed remarkably well. I found Vangelis' score to be dream-like and impressive.
I also thought that the complexity of Alexander himself was thoughtfully reflected in the sporadically non-linear presentation of the film. I think if people can get past the stranger aspects of the film (found mostly in casting), they would find an interesting and impressive piece of cinema.
