Review of Alex Strangelove (2018) by Michael J — 13 Jun 2018

Alex Strangelove is an amusing teen coming of age movie. The characters are universally likable, with no significant appearances of the stereotypical teen bully often seen in these films. It tends to be more of a teen pal movie because the struggle with his sexuality is not well developed until near the end of the film.

It is not clear whether the main character didn't experience deeper feelings, but the resolution seemed too quick and easy. In spite of these flaws, the film had a positive vibe about it.
