Albert Nobbs is such a sad filmâ?¦Glenn Close plays Albert Nobbs; a woman working as a butler in 19th century England where she wouldnâ??t have had a chance at anything as a woman. She dreams of someday owning a tobacco shop and has been saving for 30 years.
Glenn Closeâ??s performance is fantastic; the make-up is perfect and her demeanor excellent. In her eyes you see expressed all the emotions she feels; sadness, fear, confusion, and hope. Janet McTeerâ??s performance is also spectacular!
