Review of Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996) by John E — 28 May 2009
Pretty much the only decent Disney direct-to-video sequel that I can think of. The return of Robin Williams is very welcome indeed, and the humor, songs, animation, and story are all of a higher quality than the previous sequel, although still vastly inferior to the original, naturally.
I do, however, miss Jafar's menacing presence (the highlight of the prior film). Still, the majority of the film is not that memorable, but it serves its purpose to give some sense of closure.
