Review of Aladdin (1992) by Mark F — 14 Dec 2015
The 90s Disney Renaissance was my era, but for some reason the idea of Aladdin had never appealed to me much. I'd heard the great reviews, especially about Robin Williams' voice acting for the genie.
However, I suspected that would annoy me more than anything - hyperactive Robin Williams tends to do that with me. When it showed up on TV one Sunday afternoon near Christmas though, I turned it on for lack of other options and actually found myself really getting into it.
It's classic Disney, great story, genie is actually likeable and it's basically everything the reviewers said it would be. The dropped star is because I wasn't really paying attention at the start and it only began to draw me in about half way through.
I might upgrade it if I see it again.
