Review of Akira (1988) by Horvath S — 29 Mar 2011
Based on my experiences with anime, you have to get around the story very well to completely appreciate it. It has an interesting sci-fi backdrop and meshes well with the grittiness of the story and the characters.
The fluid animations add realism and an eerie feel to the movie. Like almost every anime film it is morbid and somewhat gory.
