OVERRATED. This movie's plot is incoherent to the point where I had to keep wikipedia open to follow it perfectly. This aside, the animation is something to behold, and the designs of the characters and the city really stand out.
The soundtrack is superb as well, and it really adds to the tension of the action scenes. There's only one character who is interesting though, and that's Tetsuo, but I won't give away why.
I love anime, but this doesn't stand out for me in many ways other than the animation and designs.
