This is how cyberpunk movies got started in Animerica. Akira is gripping, violent, kick-ass, and most of all, one of the greatest anime movies you should see before you die. I haven't watched the movie yet, but damn I wish they could make a live-action movie in America real soon.
R-rated anime, I love you.
