Review of Akeelah and the Bee (2006) by Melissa D — 09 Dec 2007
It was a cute movie and worth watching at least once. The fact it was based on a true story makes it a little more interesting. Some racism/racial stereotyping, but I don't think Hollywood can ever fully get away from that.
Thankfully, it didn't dominate the movie.
