A beautiful movie that quite boldly addresses issues of race and class in our society via a spelling bee. Keke Palmer's performance as Akeelah is exceptional - you believe in this girl as both vulnerable yet unstoppable.
Poignant, funny and inspiring. The world needs more films like this.
