Review of Akeelah and the Bee (2006) by Marc G — 08 Feb 2009
I'm always hesitant about these feel good movies because they always have good intentions but are never unique. Yes, this movie followed the same plot twists that these types always follow. However, I found myself smiling throughout the movie.
If it can do that I say the film has succeeded. The only disappointment was with the ending. Grow a pair and have a winner, it didn't need to be that feel good.
