Review of Akeelah and the Bee (2006) by Shawn O — 28 Jan 2012
I don't give a lot of films a 4/4, and when I was watching this I really had no reason to give it a 4/4. But, then I saw that the performances were extraordinary, that the camera work was done well, and that the script was honest and didn't pull back punches.
This is one of the few movies I've given a perfect score too that I wasn't surprised about. But I cheered and cried and laughed my head off, and in the end, that's all that counts. 4/4 Stars~ renoneMontanez.
