Perhaps I'm giving it a low score because I read the novel and there was an entire separate storyline about a guy involved in mission control which I really felt should have been in the movie. There was also a tangent about a politician, but that was slashed to give more time to the family drama between the airport manager and his wife.
However, this is a great film to see if you haven't seen it yet. The characters are unique and likable and for some reason, the atmosphere of an airport makes me feel safe. So I feel warm and fuzzy watching this, even though it's about a plane stuck in a blizzard and a crazy man with a bomb.
