Review of Airheads (1994) by Ryan V — 09 Sep 2011
Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler portray a band (under the moniker of The Lone Rangers) of three rockers who are slaving away in LA clubs in an effort to make it big. Attempts to have their music heard at record companies fall on deaf ears.
They decide to sneak into a popular LA rock music radio station, KPPX, and have their music played on air. When met with resistance from those in charge, they hijack the station, hold the employees hostage, and refuse to leave until their mission is fulfilled.
This movie is relatively adolescent in conception, but considering I first viewed when still a teenager, I enjoyed it. Three stars.
