Review of Airborne (1993) by Matt A — 04 Jun 2011
While you might hear the title and think "biological outbreak" this early 90's flick falls into the category of teen dramas with conflicts that could only be solved with an epic race. Thrashin' (a personal favorite in the genre...with a cameo by the very raw, still punk-funk, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Rad definitely paved the way for this one.
What's worth noting here is appearances by a couple of actors who would stick around for a long time. Notably, Jack Black (playing a high school kid) and Seth Green (extra pale, and with long hair..almost a pretty-boy Danny Cooksy...or I guess like a more mothered, grown up version of Danny in Diff'rent Strokes). Honorable mention, Brittney Powell later did a photo shoot for playboy. Shane McDermott, on the other hand, would see this as his crowning achievement in his screen acting career.
