Review of Air Guitar Nation (2006) by Jamie B — 29 Aug 2007
I dont even remember how I came across hearing about this movie a couple months back. Once I did, and saw the trailer, I couldnt wait for the DVD, since, its theatrical run was over, and wouldn't have been shown around my town anyway.
I was only minorly disappointed, in the fact there werent more full sets. Considering they are only a minute long, it wouldnt have been a bad thing to include them, in an already real short movie. It could have shown how the styles of music choices, and styles of how they "play" differ.
Other than that, everything was really fun to watch, especially the first time C-Diddy plays a full set, I really couldn't stop smiling, it was pretty bad-ass. I also liked how the movie first started out as almost a joke, but once they went to Finland, it was more about the history, and what-not of the world air guitar champoinships.
It was paced real well, and C-Diddy was great, with the perfect personality to make this documentary shine. Just a fun fun little movie, that doesnt wear out its welcome, and gives you a little insight on something most people have never heard of.
