Review of Air Force One (1997) by Diego T — 03 Jan 2014
Throughout watching this I kept waffling between "this is a piece of crap and I've got to shut it off" to "this is freakin awesome." So I sat through the whole thing. Yes, it has its moments of utter cheese but then there are also some intense action scenes which mostly involved Air Force One or mid air refueling or parachuting or fighter jets or Oldman executing someone or Ford kicking ass. There's some decent acting; Glen Close is really good as the Vice president also William H Macy in what must be an early role for him. Even Ford surprised me in a couple poignant scenes. Moments of flag waving and "get off my plane" upped the cheese factor. 08.13.
"Russian terrorists (led by Gary Oldman) take the president (Harrison Ford) and his family hostage aboard Air Force One.".
