Harrison Ford plays a gripping action hero, President, husband, and father in this fast-paced action film. When terrorists hijack Air Force One, the world's most secure aircraft, Harrison Ford, being the President, is taken to a safety pod to escape, but he hides instead to bring the fight back to the terrorists who have taken the other passengers hostage.

The cabinet members in Washington DC are also aware of the situation and have to deal with making certain decisions that will affect the situation in the air whilst going against the platform of the administration.

Gary Oldman does a great job portraying the lead criminal who desperately tries to control everything going on inside the plane whilst also trying to have demands met by the Presidential cabinet in Washington.

Glenn Close also gives a pretty good supporting performance as the Vice President who struggles with making decisions that would go against the wishes of the administration and ultimately have bad consequences for the country.

Overall, a great film containing action, gripping sequences of tension, and all around great performances.
