"Ain't Them Bodies Saints" doesn't re-invent the indie movie, nor does it really pave the way for re-invention, but it presents us with a fairly strong story with wonderful acting on top of a wonderful script.
The film does falter in some of its slower scenes near the middle, but this helps to prepare you for a final act that keeps you emotionally present throughout. "Ain't Them Bodies Saints" works, and it works well.
