Review of Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry (2012) by Gary T — 10 Aug 2012
Um... This has provided me with food for thought.
I admire what he's done for the earthquake victims (students) and his view why this is important.
I'm not so sure about his art, it only showed a little of that, and I didn't really understand them anyway. Though to me they've illustrated the concept "thinking outside the box" well.
I kind of expecting him making more statements with his art, afterall, he's an artist. Instead, I was shown a lot of his struggle with Chinese government and judicial system, and his weapon of choice is Twitter!!
What they've shown me isn't Ai Weiwei the artist, but Ai Weiwei the political activist.
