Fantastic film that is often misunderstood because the audience typically is not prepared to give any empathy to the AI. This is the same trait that the movie portrays - the lack of caring and the lack of human rights that the AI "David" has to endure.
This movie can be used as a litmus test to see if the audience member sitting next to you will ever be capable of respecting the human rights that future AI sentient beings will deserve and demand. One of my favourite movies.
