The Amazon synopsis is misleading in its entirety. 'Astonishing'ly bad. This Pinocchio story is disturbing, never cute and ultimately unfulfilling with weak story and so many special effects that no one in the studio noticed.
The audience did notice and the film flopped for all the right reasons. Was the ending supposed to make you feel nauseous? That's certainly a sign of a Kubrick film but Steven is supposed to know better.
