Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Jason B — 10 Feb 2008
A whole gang of conquistadors lead by the completely insane and vicious Don Lope de Aguirre looks for El Dorado a few decades after the fall of the Inca empire on a raft down a river. Their hunger for fame and riches drives them but it's a search doomed to end in misfortune and death.
Not so good, I considered pressing "stop" more than a few times before they got me hooked at the end. The whole thing reeked of bad low budget to me.
