Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Alec L — 04 Mar 2008
Captivating! Klaus Kinski's performance of Aguirre is chilling, controlled, and expressive. Werner Herzog's direction creates scenes which you'll never forget. (One of my favorites is the breathtakingly beautiful opening where the explorers are trekking down the steep mountain path.
) The movie definitely makes me feel the intensity of such a mission by the conquistadors.
