Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Andy L — 16 Apr 2010
Fact: Klaus Kinski was nuts. This film is a perfect example of that. He doesn't even need to say anything and you can revel in how nuts he is, with his flowing golden locks and manic expression.
Allthough it could be argued that not a lot happens in this movie, the simple combination of the scenery of the Amazon jungle, coupled with the aforemention Kinski madness, makes this a mesmerising watch.
Werner Herzog is the man.
