Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Michael T — 10 Jan 2012
Klaus Kinski and Werner Herzog did a number of movies together, they were a great team in the "New Wave" of (West) German cinema coming out of the 1970s. This epic is my favourite and really established Herzog as a great director and rescued Kinski from being a B-movie actor.
The last shot of Kinski on the raft with all the monkeys is classic.
