Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Wendy D — 25 Mar 2012
Surely an inspiration for Francis Coppola's Apocalypse Now, Aguirre, the Wrath of God, plunges us into an alien world of jungle madness and delusional hubris. By the ending credits, we too have endured a journey through a nightmare made real.
A side note, the opening scene is so epic in it's depiction of nature against man, it's worth the price of admission.
