Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Seanser S — 04 Oct 2012
I suppose if you're going to depict a journey into lunacy it doesn't do you any harm to select as a leading actor an individual who looks the part before he even opens his mouth. Also, the plot of blind greed, cynicism and madness isn't going to be lost to much on the modern viewer considering our current world climate.
Herzog's collaboration with Kinski on Fitzcarraldo is also must watch Cinema.
