Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Brandon W — 22 Jan 2013
While this film is certainly good and influential, I cannot see where all of the hype is coming from. Klaus Kinski's performance is brilliantly psychotic, the imagery is beautiful, and Werner Herzog has some very interesting ideas on his mind, but the film doesn't have much of an impact.
Overall, good, not one of the greatest of all time, as some have said.
