Review of Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972) by Alex K — 20 Jan 2014
Very much a Herzog film, and contains everything I have come to expect from him. Broad themes about humanity and nature, insane characters, Amazonian rivers, all things very much synonymous with Herzog.
The film is beautiful and poetic, and while not much happens story wise, a lot of things happen. Herzog is good at that.
