I can't help questioning the accuracy of much of the movie, but I don't know enough to judge that. The subject is incredibly interesting to me- science clashing with religion. It falls into a lot of epic period clichés, but in the end it is still a very interesting story and it's told very well.
Beautiful sets keep you in the period and a touch (but not much) of artsy directing keeps you thinking. Fair acting all around, and better from Rachel Weisz.
