Review of Agora (2009) by Made_It_Run R — 04 Jun 2010
A slight misstep for Amendabar. While the film explores interesting areas of secularism, science, and Christianity, there's too much thrown in and not enough focus on any one thing. Definitely an indictment on Christianity, Agora fails to connect on a human level and instead opts for grand statements instead of specific connotations.
Still, a worthwhile endeavor, particularly because of Weisz, who is always amazing to watch.
