Review of Agora (2009) by Adrienne L — 08 Sep 2010
Rachel Weisz gives the performance of her career (to date) playing a philosopher in 391 A.D. who chooses a career over family and marriage. She eventually gets stoned to death for not bowing to Christianity or men.
I'm not sure how historically accurate it is but she's brilliant. I also enjoyed Max Minghella and Ocsar Isaac playing the two men who pine for her. Oh and screw the critics.
