Story of the rise of Christinaity in the fourth century Egypt while famous astronomer and matematician Hypatia is truing to solve Earths trajectory. It's not surprising this movie had difficulties finding financiers in Hollywood as the portrayal of early Christians is strikingly similiar of todays Taleba and other extremists.
Amenabar has a visual style which makes this one seem bigger than its budget. Weisz is good as the female Astronomer caught in the religilous awakening of a nation.
