Review of Agneepath (2012) by Aminul S — 29 Feb 2012
Rating: 3/5 Good, made professionally and proportionally.
This film is based on a typical indian context of revenge (the culture of hidden aggression) and also a remake of the 1990 hit film Agneepath staring Amitabh Bachan who won National Award for his performance in the movie. Story is typical indian context of revenge (the culture of hidden aggression). By the way the movie is just a remake of 1990's film Agneepath staring Amitabh Bachan. The massive Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt) looks aggressive and scary. A different role (sorry) a negative role done by Rishi Kapoor? - strange but good. Hrithik Roshan has done a good job, his performance became matured on the screen - good for him. Direction is good but the intermission which is placed in a wrong time and there are unwanted character killing towards the end. It will be better if he could have been avoided it. Even if it's a remake film, still there is a possibility in the plot order to avoid such things. So it makes us to re-examine his effort. Cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and Kiran Deohans both of them done a great job by providing their sensational camera angles throughout the narrative. Any way Overall the movie Agneepath looks more colorful, drama, action, emotion, vengeance, aggressive and entertaining is equal to worth a watch.
