Gets four out of five stars only because I liked it so much and felt it ended about an hour too soon. The cast is charismatically offbeat, the material is nostalgically solid, and the circumstantially minimalist production was cleverly constructed to the audience's advantage.
Overall, AGE OF HEROES was a rousing, bloody, sincere and ballsy little period flick. God willing, a sequel can't be far behind.
