Review of Age of Heroes (2011) by James D — 25 Jul 2011
"Hey, this one's got Sean Bean in it"...
"Well, how bad can it be?"...
A promising start gets you settling in with the good old british tommy. It seemed refreshing to be listening to proper english voices, rather than the toff accent you so often get in american war films.
Unfortunately, that was about the end of the novelty.
There are significant historical disparities... and it was only later that I saw the strap line on the box that indicated 30 Commando were the pre-cursor to the SAS... Wrong on many accounts, not least of all because the SAS were actually formed BEFORE 30 Commando and already serving in North Africa...
Morons.
